During this year the school was awarded a FA Charter Standard celebrating our provision of football in school and recognising the number of tournaments and activities the school enters.
Today in our School Assembly we welcomed Lee Brown and Stewart Curtis from the Football Association who awarded us not only a pennant as the County Winners for 2008 but also a plaque for the Regional Winners for 2008.
A special 'Thank You' to Mr Witheyman and all the children involved.
We have been incredibly successful this year in our footballing exploits. Here is a list of our achievements this year:
Campion Cluster Boys Year 5 and 6 winners
Daventry and South Northants Disctrict Champions
Northamptonshire Small Schools Champions
East Midlands Small Schools Runners Up
Chronicle and Echo Cup Winners at Sixfields
Northamponshire Y5 Futsal Runners Up
We also became Campion Cluster Cricket Champions.
All for a small school who only has 109 children in and only 33 boys in Key Stage Two!!! We have set our standards very high for the next year!
We were very lucky this year to have a new kit purchased by Cameron and Louis Young's Grandparents so not only do we play the best, we also look the best.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the children for representing the school so successfully and in such a competitive but sporting manner. Many thanks to those who have travelled with their children to all of the events that we have taken part in this year. It certainly has been an emotional and very successful journey.
